In The Press… Bristol buying agent Charlotte Strang is quoted in The Times

Our Founder, Bristol buying agent Charlotte Strang, has been quoted in The Times today on why Bristol is one of a few cities where house price growth has outpaced London. She said:

“Bristol has proven itself to be a remarkably resilient market, especially since the pandemic, with demand remaining robust for ‘best in class’ properties. There is significant interest from buyers outside the region, particularly from London and other parts of the South-East, as well as internationally. In the past few weeks, I have received enquiries from buyers in Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland and the USA for example. Bristol’s appeal lies in its broad demographic reach, attracting families for its excellent schools, students, young professionals and retirees who value the city’s vibrant amenities, access to healthcare, culture and fine dining. Additionally, Bristol is recognised as a gateway to the South-West and all it offers. Some particularly sought-after streets in Clifton include College Fields, Canynge Road, Canynge Square, Royal York Crescent, Worcester Terrace, Worcester Crescent, Percival Road and North Road in Leigh Woods.

Richard Harding Estate Agents told me they have had substantial demand recently, leading to best and final bids for several homes. For instance, a three-bedroom, first-floor flat on Westfield Park received ten bids and sold for more than the asking price of £485k. Similarly, a two-bedroom, top-floor flat on Royal Park in Clifton also attracted ten bids and sold above its asking price. They emphasised the importance of strategy and pricing for well-presented flats in sought-after locations to attract significant interest.”
